It’s official Belfast Airport long stay parking is the cheapest (according to a Which survey).
Belfast International is the cheapest major airport in the UK to park your car on-site for a week, a survey has found.
According to research carried out by Which? magazine, Aldergrove is one of the few big airports at which it can be more cost effective to park on-site than off.
Holidaymakers leaving their vehicle in the airport’s long-stay site for a week can expect to pay just £21 if booked in advance on the Internet.
Now that is cheap, just £3 a day!
Which? says this is in comparison with £24 in one of the off-site, independently-run car parks nearby.

I find this statement from their report interesting for anyone with ties to airport parking-
“Our initiative to target non-traditional parking market segments with significant growth potential continues to be successful as we recently were awarded a new contract and two contract extensions in our airport parking segment. We have entered into an agreement to operate a 1,500 space off-airport shuttle facility serving Philadelphia International Airport. This new facility, which opens July 1, 2006, will be operated under the terms of a ten-year lease. Our contract to manage parking and shuttle operations at Washington Dulles International Airport was extended through October 31, 2009. Under the extension, our partnership will continue to manage 25,000 parking spaces, a fleet of 48 shuttle buses and provide valet parking services at this large, growing international airport, which served more than 27 million passengers last year. Our contract to manage parking, shuttle and valet services at Bob Hope International Airport in Burbank, California, which serves more than 5 million passengers a year, also was renewed for a period of three years. These two contract extensions serve to enhance our reputation in this very important market segment.

Gatwick airport is located 28 miles (45km) south of London, linked directly to the M23 motorway at junction 9 and to the London to Brighton road A23.
Opened in 1958, Gatwick is the busiest single-runway airport in the world, the second largest airport in the UK and the sixth busiest international airport in the world. The airport operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and caters for around 32 million passengers per year (estimated to increase to 40 million over the next 10 years).
There are around 25,000 (2,000 are BAA Gatwick employees) employees and the airport manages over 216,000 tonnes air cargo per year. Over the previous 10 years £800 million has been invested in the airport with a smiliar figure estimated for the next 10 years creating many jobs.

An airline has announced it is expanding its services from an airport despite an ongoing inquiry into plans for a passenger terminal.
Thomsonfly is increasing its number of low fares flights at both Coventry and Birmingham airports from Thursday.
An inquiry into plans to build a new terminal capable of handling up to two million passengers per year at Coventry will not end until May.
…
The firm intends to continue with the planned development.
The airline currently uses a temporary building, but the plans - originally sent to Warwick District Council - are for a new 10,000 square metre terminal with car parking.

The cost of long-term parking at Guernsey Airport is to be reduced by 50% from Monday.
Anyone leaving their car at the airport for more than three days will pay £8 per day, rather than the current rate of £16 per day.
…
The price cut is a trial which will be reviewed at Easter. If it is judged to be a success, the number of spaces in the airport car park will be increased.
That’s good news for anyone using Guernsey airport parking on a regular basis.
