Airport expansion despite protests

An airline has announced it is expanding its services from an airport despite an ongoing inquiry into plans for a passenger terminal.
Thomsonfly is increasing its number of low fares flights at both Coventry and Birmingham airports from Thursday.
An inquiry into plans to build a new terminal capable of handling up to two million passengers per year at Coventry will not end until May.
…
The firm intends to continue with the planned development.
The airline currently uses a temporary building, but the plans - originally sent to Warwick District Council - are for a new 10,000 square metre terminal with car parking.
That’s confidence for you, planning permission etc… hasn’t been issued for the new Coventry airport parking facilities etc… (which are presumably allong the same lines as the Birmingham airport parking), yet Thomsonfly is all ahead full power please!
I guess they know something (or someone) we don’t, I woder if it falls under petty cash ![]()
